A MAJOR CAUSE OF UNHAPPINESS – PROTEIN IMBALANCE? by Cathy D. Slaght
This week I’m in Orlando, finishing up a course on health as related to weight management, followed by 3 days at the SOHO convention. Interestingly, yesterday LIVER was being covered- at the same time the group was requesting some SRC work related to liver stress.
From the scan of the liver, our major focus, for starters, is EMOTIONS- and yes, the liver plays a HUGE part in this. We requested 2198 Soul Image sessions! SO, that’s what we’re doing. This means we’ll be getting 38 Soul Imaging sessions a day until the end of the year. Is it worth it? In my opinion, yes.
The Soul Imaging program takes the lower-vibratory charge from emotions that are keeping voltage down. Here’s what’s come up to be balanced so far:
deception, quarrelsome, frustrated, fiery, gleeful, surrender, passive, phobia, agreeable, stricken, selfish, subdued, proud, merry, attentive, accusing, inspired, don’t mind, attack, rueful, idealization, compartmentalization, yearning, abhor, zealous, somatization, loving, smiling, compliance, attraction, fervent, mindful, petrified, irritated, thick skinned, aggression, gratified.
On to the course- we’ve been told that many are eating too much protein, which can harm the liver, and obviously, as a result- impact emotions. (Also, the thyroid can be affected, because 80% of thyroid conversion is through the liver.)
Apparently, the protein recommendation in the food pyramid is way too high. (shocker)
However, this instructor, Dr. Berg- believes we SHOULD be eating some complete protein (animal sourced). I know all readers don’t agree- but the optimal amount, according to what’s being presented, is 3-4 oz. of a complete protein, at least twice a day.
The BEST source, we’re told, is EGGS- with the yolk. In fact, Dr. Berg says eating an egg is like taking a multi-vitamin. (There is lecithin in the yolk to clear the cholesterol)
So, back to neurotransmitters. Our decisions, including what to eat, are driven by neurotransmitter balance- often, specifically, dopamine receptors. Here’s an example from The Hacking of the American Mind: eggs are the highest quality protein there is. Many experts believe they are literally the world’s most perfect food. However, eggs are not exciting. That means when the price of eggs goes up, sales go down. However, there are two categories of food that, regardless of price spikes, ALWAYS continue to sell- fast food and soft drinks. This is all related to dopamine receptors.
In other words, we can be DRIVEN to purchase and consume bad food, based on neurotransmitter balance. Will power is not necessarily involved! And what's VITAL to neurotransmitter balance? Essential amino acids, which the body doesn’t make. We must EAT them.
A couple more things- the Reiki symbol we’re receiving along with the Soul Imaging means “To see the Divine in ALL things”. Even regarding what we see happening in the world around us - with awareness, including an understanding of sound nutritional practices- there can be a positive transformation.
Finally, it’s tough to get the screen casts done while in the course. Also, there may be a few days, during the convention, that it will be difficult to post. I’ll keep a record of whats going on with the daily SRC work, which obviously is Soul Imaging- and, along with what's learned from the course and at the convention- should have a lot to share next week.
