HUMANS ARE SO ENTERTAINING by Cathy D. Slaght
Years ago there was an episode on a TV show, One Step Beyond, that I never forgot. The story line was as follows:
A governess is hired to take care of a little girl named Pamela. This new governess is cruel-she immediately dismisses the beloved nanny and begins to punish Pamela by locking her in a dark basement, which terrifies her.
If you're curious about what happened, the episode is still on www.youtube.com and the link is at the end of this post.
The irony is that the story is based on a similar event. Charles Dickens first made reference to it in 1871.
It does seem that when we're young we're very powerful. Maybe it's because what a small child projects to the Universe is unbounded by the constraints of beliefs. Only through education do they learn what is "expected" and what, supposedly, can and cannot be done.
But many of these constraints are just illusions. They're formed by a pool of belief patterns, the majority of which are based on ignorance.
This "pool" is known as "collective consciousness".
So, something to think about- have billions of people who proceeded you determined what you're going to experience in life?
(The correct answer is yes.)
