WE'RE NOT IN SHANGRI-LA? by Cathy D. Slaght
Years back I heard a speaker say that now one out of 3 men is a psychopath.
Not sure if that's accurate, but there's no question the numbers are on the rise, for both men and women.
The definition of psychopath is
"a person suffering from chronic mental disorder with abnormal or violent social behavior."
Apparently it's something to do with frontal lobe development. If this part of the brain is impaired through environment, there may be some hope for recovery. But others are just "born that way". Experts seem to agree that there's no turning that around.
Either way, this disorder is escalating.
And psychopaths aren't just serial killers- they are people who exhibit no conscience, and are found at every level of society.
For example, noblemen used to stand on their balconies and watch people get drawn and quartered. It was their entertainment.
Now, maybe, our leaders orchestrate wars, upheaval, and watch on live stream.
We'd never imagine such a thing, because psychopaths are typically great manipulators - attractive, charismatic.
We may even vote them into office. Or, they might go right up the ladder to head a major corporation.
But this is the Age of Solutions.
Information is available to educate us on this. Nothing is really hidden.
Problem is, to learn the truth we must use our whole brain.
We can't edit out the ugliness.
We must briefly step out of Shangri-La, if we really wish to create it.
Anyway, back when I first heard that 1 in 3 statistic, I was intrigued, so did some research and posted it on hubpage.com- with lots of videos.
Who knows, some readers may have even been married to a psychopath!
