A NOT SO OBVIOUS SECRET THAT WILL TRANSFORM YOUR LIFE by Cathy D. Slaght
When I was a child several magazines came to the house, one of which was Reader’s Digest. I STILL remember a bunch of the jokes, but also an article that said:
“Never under-estimate what you can get done first thing every day”.
So, yesterday ran across a condensed version of MIRACLE MORNING by Hal Elrod (scribd.com), where a personal development routine for first thing every morning is shared.
According to Elrod, if you begin to follow a “morning routine” there are some significant benefits:

OUR GROUP’S PRESENT STRESS LEVEL- RELATED TO THE BENEFITS OF A MORNING ROUTINE
“Now” is just where we are in the flow at this point.
MAX - where numbers range from 98-102, is where we need the most awareness. Lower numbers, i.e. 98 or 99 indicate chronic stress.
This means, energetically, we’re seeing indications of chronic stress related to lack of focus on priorities, forgetting to show gratitude, worry, not earning as much as desired, unclear of life purpose…
With this awareness, we can IMAGE-IN some changes and go into ACTION.
(Imagination stimulates Action)
AND – MIRACLE MORNING is a GREAT book.
It starts with a true story – Hal Elrod was living his dream until an automobile accident left him, in this order- dead, brought back but brain damaged, unable to walk etc., hitting rock bottom, losing everything…
BUT - instead of moping, living in the past, he EMBRACED his new reality, which led to TRIUMPHING over it.
(As per Natural Law, this is always possible.)
ALONG WITH THIS CHAIN OF EVENTS came a realization that his life path involved empowering others to do the same, which led to coaching, speaking, and books.
More tomorrow on the morning routine.
But, a sad ending to the story.
His preferred candidate for president lost the 2016 election. He kept going back into the past-thinking about it, talking with as many as possible. What had gone WRONG? Filled with resentment and blame, glued to the television, his health began to fail…with the Mueller Report he became bedridden.
OKAY- that last part, thankfully, is false.
BUT- it’s something to think about.
Or not. We are all free to choose our own thoughts.
But the way Hal Elrod handled his thought processes- even though he was in a situation of apparent TOTAL devastation- seemed to work out well.
