How did the term "conspiracy theorist" come about? According to a www.google.com search, it was coined in 1967 by the CIA. The idea was to discourage people from questioning. The best way to do this was to imply that those who didn't automatically accept what they were told by the standard fact-bearers were "crazy".

"Conspiracy theorist" soon became synonymous with "nuts".

(Humans have a huge fear, on a subconscious level, of being labeled as unstable. That could lead to separation from the herd, which used to mean certain death.)

Still, just "labeling" by implication was better than what they did in the Soviet Union. There they just went ahead and put those who questioned in mental institutions. No stopping on "GO", just directly to jail.

But I'm someone who has always questioned.

So, after some investigating, about 10 years ago I quit watching television.

I came to believe that television can hamper the development of the brain. Also, statistics  indicated that a sedentary life- sitting around watching TV- could shorten life span.

(A study from years ago demonstrated that the more television a person watches, the less satisfaction he/she experiences in life. Guess so - not being able to think straight and  dropping dead years ahead of schedule could be extremely unsatisfying.)

There's more. When we watch tv our brains switch from the left to right hemisphere. The left brain can analyze, but the right takes everything that comes in, on an unconscious level, as fact.

You go into "alpha", which is a trance similar to hypnosis. You are highly suggestible, especially if fear is involved.

This means that even though your "conscious" mind knows something is just a lie, or story,  the "unconscious" accepts it as true/real.

Also, the right brain activity signals the release of endorphins, which means it's possible to become physically addicted to watching television.

An adult has free will about all this (kind of) but what about the children placed in front of the television day after day? According to research, children who grow up watching hour upon hour of television are intellectually dead by the early teens.

What happens to the soul- the ability to choose- THEN?

Could television be our true ruling power?
