GRUMPY CAT AND THE BLOB by Cathy D. Slaght
Our first hypnotists/programmers were our parents, simply because they were our first authority figures. Even after we "grow up" the message that we must do or believe what the authority figure says is still a powerful command, built into our data base.
Here are a few examples -
1. The doctor. People believe he or she knows best. There have actually been cases of doctors getting a file mixed up and mistakenly telling a patient they're terminal, only to have the patient die before the good news could get to them that they weren't even sick.
2. The media. People who are physically present at events are often floored by the false and misleading information on the "news". (It overwhelms us to think the reporters may not be as we believe them to be. And comedians who report the "news" have even more powerful impact. Laughter makes us extremely suggestible, for some reason. They even teach this at Toastmasters. )
And I can't help but think about what happened to Jimi Hendrix. Hendrix was one of the most talented guitarists who ever lived. But his legacy? Most believe he died of a heroin overdose, choked on his own vomit. What a visual. But here's the truth: Jimi Hendrix didn't do heroin. He was an acid and white wine guy. Turns out he drowned from red wine. His autopsy revealed that his lungs were filled with it, similar to how a drowning victim's lungs are filled with water.
For some reason it wasn't seen fit to share this information with the public. Now, with internet, we can do our own investigating.
You might be thinking: what kind of a nut sits around reading about things like this?
That would be me.
Then you might wonder- why would anybody even care? I'll try to explain.
It took a serious illness for me to begin to search for answers beyond our present paradigm. That led to not only a study of energy, but the realization that most of what I'd been taught about life wasn't true. Then came an insatiable curiosity. It has served me well.
After all, how can you believe we are capable of miracles if you can't stretch your mind to all possibilities?
But let's go on:
3. Clergy, teachers, celebrities. We worship at their feet when we honor what they say without investigating for ourselves.
4. Our elected officials. Experts who study the body language and word flow of a hypnotist say some of our leaders past and present were/are actually "master hypnotists". So is it possible, even though we live in one of the greatest countries ever, that we've been hypnotized into believing nothing could ever go wrong? If it's true, are we so complacent that we will refuse to acknowledge very real dangers while we still have time to handle them? Why?
But I read that our present leader labels those who voice concerns like this as "grumpy cats". Cute. Brings a smile.
It inspired me to post THE BLOB- full movie. In this movie, people are complacent, living it up, eating, drinking, playing the fool, while the blob gets bigger and bigger, until it's out of control.
It's definitely a cheesy movie, but now they've discovered cheese is highly addictive.
Like our addiction to believing we should accept what we're told without question.
The first scene will show you what happened to grumpy cat.
