Someone called and asked "could the grief I've had in relationships all my life be due to one or more programs that are running?"

Answer- "It's very likely." Experts say that any area of your life that is continually painful is very likely the result of a self-sabotage program downloaded in early childhood.

To see if you might need to "scrub your relationship self-sabotage hardware", first ask yourself two questions:

1. Were one or both of your parents emotionally abusive to you?
2. Were your parents openly abusive to each other?

If both answers are yes, you could be "programmed" to fall in love with emotionally abusive people. (time to scrub!)

And remember, your DNA acts as an antenna, pulling in what you expect on a subconscious, not conscious, level.

Part of this programming and magnetism for bad relationships could cause you to manifest one or more of the following personality traits:

1. neurotically naive- "I thought he'd get better" or " She promised me."
2. Inability to say NO
      Many have downloaded a program that causes a huge fear of letting anybody down,
      tied in to their self worth. Extremely destructive in relationships.
3. Unsure of yourself in communications.
       For example, he takes some money from your account and says " You told me I   
       could take it!" You really don't remember saying that!  You must have forgotten.
4. Fear of negative emotion.  (As a child, if  you disappointed your  parents consequences
       were severe.)
5. Neurotic desire to be liked
6. Need to be controlled by authority figures.
7. Blurry sense of self- so easily controlled by others- no self confidence or self worth
8. Excessively compassionate

We can't blame this all on the parents.  The media is a huge programmer. Listen to the words of some of our popular music. Watch the videos. Check out what's happening in the movies and on TV. Maybe we need to protect our children (and ourselves) from this kind of programming.

I can only smile (sadly) at the loving, protective behavior, for example, of Beyonce towards Blue Ivy, or Madonna towards Lordes. Their music and dancing has programmed millions of young girls to be unrealistic about love, and to expect, even encourage, pain and abuse in relationships.

Michelle Obama actually said Beyonce has been a role model for all young girls.

And looks like she has been. Michelle just left out the word "negative".
