In Chinese medicine, JING nourishing herbs are the most coveted.

Makes sense- the key to health is maintaining JING. It’s the body’s core battery.

We’re born with a finite amount of it, received primarily from the mother. If it becomes SEVERELY depleted, then sickness and death is imminent. A little leakage from time to time, though, is the same as letting life force slip away “a little at a time”.

It could be that with strong JING- and we still need to talk about chi and shen, because it’s all about BALANCE- even environmental stress would have little to no impact.
