Years ago I read a book that was, for me, life changing - "Awakened Imagination" by Neville Goddard. If you don't feel like reading the book, that's ok- the message is simple and I'm going to share it.

Neville Goddard said  the primary difference between man and animals is that man has the power of imagination.

To manifest, he said, choose what you want and then, as you go to sleep at night, imagine that it happened already- that day.

I've shared this information with many over the years, and seen miracles.

What grabbed me most out of the book, though, wasn't the manifestation technique. It was Neville's definition of "soul".

He said it was simply the ability to choose.

With this in mind, I thought about the way we operate. As you know, our operating system is very similar to a computer.  This is scientific fact.

What that means is that programming the mind/human behavior is simple. It works  just like programming a man-made computer- you simply provide input. If the input is wrong, the memory banks of the mind do not correct the error, they simply accept the program.

Obviously we're programmed by our early childhood environment- particularly our parents/ caretakers/teachers. But television is also a major programmer, along with music.

Some say "Nobody programs me!  I follow my heart!". But guess what- that's a program too, one that's been downloaded primarily through  music. It's hardwired into our brains.

(Try looking back to the times you "followed your heart". How'd that work out?)

With a program like the SRC4U there's an opportunity to see what your programming might be, and even cancel out what hasn't been beneficial. (The SRC4U is a software program that seems to measure information in the etheric field, just like a home computer can measure information in the world wide web .)

But another way to check out your programming is to just observe what's happening in your life.

Are you prospering financially? Relationships working out? Health ok?
If these answers are "no", chances are the situations were caused by a series of bad choices.

But if we're " programmed" by outside sources, are we truly capable of "choosing"?

For example, if all the women in your family were abused by men, and you seem to attract abusers, too, is that truly your desire? Do you really want this kind of pain?

If your pre-teen starts acting out sexually because of a steady dose of TV and popular music that glorifies promiscuity, and ends up screwing up his/her life, was that how they really wanted their life to turn out? If you're addicted to Cokes because the celebrities drink them, but you end up getting fat and sick while they stay rich and thin, was that on your wish list?

If not, do we truly have any free will, i.e. a soul? Are we all just victims of  programming?

Here's my personal belief -  you can clear non-beneficial programming, once you're aware of how it's been working in your life. Even if Lucifer has a contract written in blood that says your soul is his, the contract is voidable. We have power beyond our wildest imaginings, and that includes the ability to reclaim our power of choice.

But only if we choose.
