PARKED AWAY IN FACEBOOK CAMPS by Cathy D. Slaght
They say whatever you do Jan 1 sets the tone for the year- and I hope that’s true. For me, it was a wonderful day. First, I got to spend time with my daughter, and made a pot of soup filled with herbs. Did some fun SRC work. Watched Lord of the Flies on www.youtube.com AND, may have stumbled on an interesting weight management approach. A good friend is the test subject. Here’s the process: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=telblxyXkk0&feature=youtu.be&hd=1
Thing is, as the years go by, we see fewer and fewer doing “new year’s resolutions” or starting new diets.
Thanks to social media, they aren’t as concerned with these things. They can have a large group of “friends” regardless of what’s going on in their personal life. No need for self-improvement- or even to leave the house. But this connection isn’t real- it’s an illusion. And to keep the record straight- this is NOT the same kind of illusion as experienced when writing stories, poems, or songs with some wild imaginings. In that case, you KNOW you’re making things up. You’re just working towards manifestation in an offbeat way. And it can be powerful. When you write, you can cancel out non-beneficial programming by bringing in new imagery. The other extreme- like sitting for hours on FB- seems to perpetuate the old programming. In fact, some say we are being programmed by social media to need less and less human interaction. Maybe this is tied in to stress from all the chemicals in our environment. This is our TRUE focus for the next few days-
What seems to be most stressed is the Parietal Lobe. This is the part of the brain that tells you “presence”. When it gets confused, which may or may not be tied into the stress from all the chemicals in our environment, being alone with a cell phone and laptop is just fine. But what it does to the human spirit is NOT. Today’s scan- etheric, not physical http://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/cbVnFCQy0R
