Before continuing with Zippy's adventure, here's some information that's NOT a fairy tale:

The root source cause of many problems in our world may turn out to be SUGAR.

Our food- in many cases surreptitiously- is loaded with it.

For example, Friday I ran by a health food store to get something from the deli for dinner.

There was not even ONE item in the case - the manager confirmed this- that didn't have sugar.

There are 2 problems with this- a) if I eat sugar I want to do so knowingly, and with something FUN, like CAKE, not kale salad and b) sugar is poison.

So here we are, possibly on the edge of a disaster-

For starters, we have an epidemic of obesity. Like that horror movie The Blob- it's even consuming our CHILDREN.

(Infant formulas have so much sugar that the new term is “baby milkshakes”)

We're hydrating with soft drinks, juices, alcohol (many don't even LIKE water)...eating in restaurants which typically add sugar to everything, even vegetables...

...and about .90 out of every dollar at the grocery store is spent on processed foods, which are fiber-less and loaded with sugar.

Our metabolism is so screwed up we can't stop eating! (Leptin, which tells the brain when there's been enough to eat- seems to be impaired.)

And - skewed blood sugar could be the reason for many MENTAL health problems.

Governmental agencies know all this. But do they care? Case in point- check out the sugar load in nutrition assistance programs.

Then there's the nutritional education of our doctors. Was speaking with a Medical Doctor yesterday, for example, who INSISTED we must have sugar for our brains!

And yes, there are 8 ESSENTIAL sugars (great book, The Healing Power of 8 Sugars)- but this is an entirely different thing from processed sugar.

Meanwhile, there are those who say “God made sugar, so it must be good”.

But the God- stuff came packaged with an antidote- FIBER.

(99% of Americans are fiber deficient because fiber doesn't have any shelf life.)

But here's the good news - the TRUTH is coming out. (Always does.)
