WHEN GOD TAKES TOO LONG by Cathy D. Slaght

Some see the world as corrupt, and live with pain and hurt.  That could be part of the draw of Wicca, which teaches that you can work with unseen forces to control your destiny. Then there’s the Harry Potter books and movies and their impact, especially on the young.

I’ve read, also, that a significant number of celebrities, as well as others in high positions, are involved in Wicca and even Satanism.

Actors talk about it. Musicians refer to it in lyrics. Check this out for yourself.

But how does a spell designed to bring in love, money, fame, power, whatever, work out in the long run? Here’s one example:

Many years ago, I had a friend who fell in love with a married man.  He’d been separated when they met, but then, because of adult children creating problems, he’d resurrected the marriage. This wasn’t the first time this had happened to my friend - she seemed to go for unavailable men.

But this time she flipped out.

One day she said “I’m going to find someone who does Voodoo.” I have no idea how she came up with this idea, but she found a Voodoo shop in St. Petersburg, Fl., and paid a visit.

Guess who went with her.

While we waited, we could hear the back door opening repeatedly- it had a bell. I learned this was people coming in to buy paraphernalia for spells. I begged her to not continue with this, so we left. Later she confessed that she’d returned and had a binding spell put on this man.

Then she couldn’t get rid of him.

The spell bound her to him, too. Whatever we send out returns to us, typically magnified. That’s Universal Law. Now, in her early 70’s, she’s moved away, but is still alone.  His repeated visits kept her from meeting anyone else. And no, she’s not happy.

It appeared to me, as I learned about energy and consciousness, that this approach could be kind of like taking a pharmaceutical. You may cover up the symptom for the time being but the true issue may become worse over time. Her issue? All she’d ever wanted was someone to nurture her. Her parents had abandoned her.  She’d been raised by a grandmother who really wasn’t the grandmotherly type.

There could have been another way to bring in the right man/ happy family/nurturing. It would have involved working to raise consciousness/life force energy, so that she would attract it. All possibilities exist in the fields of energy that surround us, but what we pull in depends on our personal voltage/vibration.

Her childhood had set her vibration, but she could have changed it.  (still could)

She might have started with a question - “Why does the same thing keep happening?”

She could have changed some habits.  Back then, she typically met the men she dated at a nightclub out on the beach.

And/or

She could have written affirmations, prayed, meditated, visualized, gone for hypnosis, started listening to her own words, changed who she associated with - there was no quantum software back then, now that type of work could be added to the list.

In other words, she could have worked to clear whatever patterns were pulling in a reality that made her so unhappy.

In all fairness, we didn’t understand this back then. But we do now. That’s why, in my opinion, this is a wonderful time to be alive, more than we might realize.

Meanwhile, is it possible that a person’s nervous system could be impacted by bad energy intentionally sent their way, or is this just crazy talk?

And, 25+ years later, is that back door bell ringing less, or more?
