WHO YOU ARE IS NOT AN ACCIDENT 


It’s hard to overstate the complexity of the nervous system. The average human brain has over 100 billion nerve cells (neurons). EACH of those is connected to 10,000 OTHER cells.


This means there are 1000 trillion connections in your brain!


(Even on a slow day, you have more connections than there are stars in the Milky Way.)


EVERYTHING you do is the result of the way these brain cells communicate with each other. What carries the messages? 


Neurotransmitters, which are primarily produced in the GUT.


SO- if you have times when an EVIL TWIN seemed to emerge, it’s very possibly related to the way you eat.


A sugar-laden, low nutrient diet throws off neurotransmitters, which can skew emotions, cognition, energy, appetite, cravings, sleep, perception….  THIS could be the primary reason for broken relationships, failed careers, extreme depression and much more - even what we refer to as “mental illness”.


But there’s good news. There are natural ways to manage gut/neurotransmitter-related stress.


For example, there’s intermittent fasting, which gives the GUT time to balance itself out.  I’m now into my third week of eating only between 4-9 p.m. every day. This is the 5- hour version, there is an 8- hour eating window that some prefer to follow. 


Hopefully I’ll stick with this. I hadn’t realized how much I slowed down after eating lunch.  Now, waiting till around 4 pm to start eating, my energy level is HIGH, and weight is dropping. Food preferences have changed.  Also, I no longer resonate with needing the product RESTORE. It could be we’d need a lot less products if we’d just give our guts a rest!


Another tool is essential oils- there are a number that are said to be good for the GUT. You probably have some on hand. They can be rubbed on the abdomen in most cases, put in capsules, some can even be added to food. Check this out for yourself. And did you know just SMELLING an essential oil can cause neurons to fire more rapidly?


Here’s the result of an online search for “essential oils beneficial to the gut”: Thyme, Cardamom, Peppermint, Clove, Tea Tree, Oregano, Fennel, and Tarragon.  Today I’m going to see if we resonate with receiving any of these energetically. (Yesterday we requested the energy of Cedarwood, which is for focus and wisdom.)


Over the next few days we’re going to cover some information on the major neurotransmitters, starting with GABA, which is known as “nature’s valium”.


Obviously, a primary sign of GABA deficiency is anxiety, although since everything in the body’s connected there can be a variety of symptoms.


This week, for the group, we’re focused on managing stress related to all this.


For GABA, since it’s produced through the process of fermentation, adding some fermented foods to the diet could help. Examples-yogurt or sauerkraut.
