![]() DO YOU FEEL LIKE A DUCK IN A CHICKEN YARD? by Cathy D. Slaght Self-awareness could be the key to getting everything we want in life. Instead, we seem to do it backwards- fight so much against what we DO NOT want that we bring it in. That’s why a study of character structurers could be helpful. Character structures are NOT who you are but the way you distort yourself in order to deal with the world. Not only is it useful to understand these patterns so you can make changes, but you can also use this information to understand others. Did you make a list from yesterday’ post of which structures you use the most? We can’t change what we’re not aware of. So here goes- these descriptions are not clinical. In other words, we’re not discussing mental illness, but rather traits many of us have in one form or another from early childhood experiences. 1. Schizoid Schizoid is discussed first because it forms the earliest in life, sometimes even in the womb. The baby doesn’t feel safe or wanted. This could come from a difficult birth, parental hostility, emotional distance of the mother- you get the idea. The baby doesn’t feel connected to those he depends on for survival. As a result, the Schizoid’s main issue is fear, or what is sometimes called existential terror. Previous lives could be an issue. (Interestingly enough, early churches believed in past lives, and also different dimensions of reality. Later the Church changed these doctrines.) The Schizoid expects hostility, so often gets it. They aren’t typically grounded, so may intellectualize too much, or even draw back into the spirit world, where they feel safest. The outer boundary of their entire energy field is weak, which makes it easy for other auras to penetrate. NOTE: A few drops of Frankincense Essential Oil, placed on the top of the head, may help Often they have cold hands and feet. There may be a twist in their spine from twisting their consciousness, and the physical body may be lopsided. Chakras are going counterclockwise or are closed. (with consistent balancing, for example in the daily energy group, chakras will go into self-balance.)
