IF YOU HAD 5 MINUTES WITH GOD...FOR ONE QUESTION by Cathy D. Slaght
What would it be? Winning lottery numbers? If so, that wouldn't necessarily transform your life in a positive way. Because you can't have a positive without a negative. This could be the secret of the Universe, and it is definitely the message of the I Ching. In other words, life isn't intended to be 100% problem free. Some say UGH to this- but the negative is a source of the positive. It is absolutely fundamental that we understand this. So, with the I Ching, you're in a process of getting information that will assist you, but it isn't a "magic talisman". What you're doing is actually mapping the thinking processes of man. Questions are framed in a number of ways, but not YES or NO. You can ask about ANYTHING- But in the following format- as opposed to yes or no questions- "What would be the outcome of..." "What is the truth about..." "What do I need to know about..." You'll be manipulating "stalks" to get a combination of Yin (broken lines) and Yang (solid lines) that will form one of 64 kuas, or hexagrams. It may not make sense yet, but it will soon. There are many ways the I Ching can assist - for example, who needs people around messing up their life? Let's say someone new appears- You could ask questions such as "what would be the outcome of a deeper friendship with this person?" or "What do I need to know about this person?" or "What is the truth about this person?" (you would be putting their actual name of course) Learning the I Ching is a work in progress. At first it can seem complicated. Please don't get discouraged- this work is life changing. (I do have some doubts to whether or not I am qualified for this task, but we have to start somewhere. There are many books, youtubes, and so on that can be of assistance.) First, you'll need supplies. Go to the grocery store and get some small bamboo skewers. We can upgrade later to yarrow stalks if you really get into this. You'll need 50 of these small wooden skewers (sticks) and also a book on I Ching and paper and pen. At the end of this post is a youtube on the process of sorting the sticks. Just observe, unless you already have a book on the I Ching and have time to start with questions. I will soon be demonstrating on a regular basis- However, I asked the "I Ching": What will be the outcome of teaching the I Ching to those interested? The answer was kua #27 (today's image) with two moving lines: Kua 27 is about Providing Sustenance In light of the question, the sustenance seems to be information. It says " do not deprive others of the benefit of providing for themselves (doing their OWN I-Ching) for that will weaken them." " Unearned benefits", it continues, "destroys people." (In other words, we all need to do our OWN I-Ching. Don't ask others to do it for you.) Then "if you offer opportunities and education to deserving people great benefit will accrue to you and to them. They in turn will nourish others." And: Seek out worthy counsel- keep improving, work towards clarity. After receiving this Kua, I'm encouraged! To get started here's a link on how to sort the stalks. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ydNiskT67yA And information for the daily energy clearing group- etheric, not physical https://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/cDjjIzid7u
