![]() JECKYLL/HYDE OF THE BIOLOGICAL WORLD by Cathy D. Slaght What's with this “bug”- misfolded proteins,- known as PRIONS? Well, first, let's be fair. Prion proteins behave quite well until they somehow get misguided and fold up. (In their normal forms, they're believed to act as antioxidants that protect brain cells.) But once misfolded they turn into Mr. Hyde, destroying the brain and nervous system. Supposedly there's no cure. (But, that's not quantum.) On a positive note, this type of disease has become rare. On a negative- now there may be a new strain. This one is said to lurk in the lymphatic system, spleen, and blood, and may be related to certain neurodegenerative diseases like Parkinson's. Also, some are saying it may be related to the rise in dementia. Either way- old strain or new- there's no question prions have a dark side.
But - what if a deficiency of copper and overabundance of manganese is the root source cause? Seriously, what if mineral deficiencies turned out to be the root source of many dis-eases? Maybe it's important to learn more. Here's the information in reference to copper deficiency/manganese excess: Manganese, in excess can be toxic, may result in “Mn-induced Parkinsonisn”, a condition resembling Parkinson's, and is associated with progressive neurodegeneration.) As far as copper, at this point let's just look at some signs of deficiency -
For the energy group, we've completed our work on prion/fungal stress- and also have moved to the last stage of the “Fire Agate”, with a theme of STRENGTHEN.
